WHM: Demystifying Cervical Screenings with UK Cervical Cancer Charity
20 Bank Plain, Norwich, NR2 4SF, Norwich
In the UK, people with a cervix are invited to a cervical cancer screening just before they turn 25. We recognise there is a lot of mystery and anxiety surrounding what this is, and therefore our Womens' Officer Amy has arranged for a former nurse who now is a trustee for UK Cervical Cancer - Jenny Greenfield - to speak to our students about cervical screenings.
The talk will cover the causes of cervical cancer, HPV vaccines, what to expect from a cervical screening appointment and what the results mean. At the end there will be an opportunity to ask questions. If you would like to submit your question annonymously in advance you can do so here: https://forms.office.com/e/ARtn8dzAVy
The event will be hybrid - this means that Jenny will be on Teams on a big screen while we sit together in the Society Space to watch the talk. There will be some snacks and drinks available but please feel free to bring your lunch.
Please arrive to the Society Space promptly, the talk will start at 12:45.
